Situated in the South Canterbury town of Fairlie, Mackenzie College is a small, rural year 7-13 school of approximately 190 students.
It is situated in one of the finest physical environments in the world, with spectacular mountain views, rivers, lakes and rolling farmland all on your doorstep.
Part of a thriving rural community, college life offers students the opportunity to excel in all aspects of education; from the classroom to the sports field, from culture to science and technology, all in an environment that encourages students to strive to realise their academic potential, to enjoy learning and to develop into impressive young adults.
Urgent message - update (21/2/18):
Due to weather conditions buses will not be running tomorrow. At this point, the school is still open but will not be running formal lessons as a result of significantly reduced staffing. With unsafe roads and the weather conditions, only bring students to school if you are certain that they can be delivered safely. The decision on closing the school will be made by 7:30 am tomorrow.
